Ingredients:
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 slices of bacon
- 4 large eggs
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for toasting buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Red onion slices
Instructions:
Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle over medium-high heat
While the grill is heating, shape the ground beef into 4 burger patties
Season both sides with salt and pepper
Cook the bacon in a separate skillet until crispy
Remove and drain on paper towels
In the same skillet, cook the eggs over easy or to your desired level of doneness
Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your preferred level of doneness
During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cover to melt the cheese
While the burgers are cooking, split the hamburger buns and toast them lightly with a bit of butter on the grill
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and maple syrup to make a delicious sauce
Assemble the burgers: Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a burger patty with melted cheese, a slice of bacon, a cooked egg, tomato slices, and red onion slices
Drizzle the maple-mustard sauce over the toppings, and then top with the other half of the toasted bun
Serve your Royal Bacon Breakfast Burger hot and enjoy!
